Custom-made Ceramic
and Glass Components
Electrical
Ceramics have traditionally been used for electrical applications, with products ranging from porcelain lamp holders to high-voltage precision insulators.
Glass should not be overlooked; it also has good electrical properties.
Examples include:
- Precision tubular spacers for stacking metal plates in high-voltage equipment
- Glass-to-metal seals and ceramic-to-metal seals in feedthroughs
- Very accurate discs used as fixed capacitors
- Machined quartz glass insulators
- Bobbins for wire-wound components
- Resistors printed onto ceramic substrates
